Overview of the Fifth Bosphorus Summit

The Fifth Bosphorus Summit for International Cooperation will take place under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in the Four Seasons Hotel-Istanbul from 10 to 12 December 2014. The Summit is under the title "Future Scenarios and Changes and facing challenges through peaceful means," with the participation of nearly 70 countries around the world, represented by its Presidents, Prime Ministers, officials and businesspersons, seeking various political and economic issues.

This year the Bosphorus summit will discuss the political changes in North Africa the Middle East and North, and the subsequent need to build economic confidence, as well as investments and international trade. The sessions will allocate during the summit to discuss the role of women in the economy, the democratic changes and the role of young entrepreneurs. The Energy subject will have the bigger share of the summit, where the discussion will be about the role of the Countries in strengthening its basket of nuclear energy, oil and renewable energy, in addition to the challenges of climate change and its impact on food, agriculture and water. Moreover, the summit will focus on how to build its global model of development relative to the global financial crisis, where the heads of central banks in the region will have their own views.
