The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) participates in the meetings of the preparatory committee for the General Assembly of the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO) at the ministerial level. The meeting is held in Kuwait from the 24th till the 26th of April 2018, attended by ministers and stakeholders from Arab countries, UNIDO and the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO). The preparatory committee discusses a number of topics relating to industrial development in the Arab world and AIDMO's 2019-2020 program, in addition to a follow-up on previous achievements and the reelection of Kuwait's candidate Engineer Adel Sakr as Director General.

Engineer Adel Sakr said the preparatory committee will present its recommendations to the Arab ministers of industry who will get together on the 26th of April to adopt them. He stressed that Kuwait's Ministry of Industry and His Excellency Mr. Khaled Al-Radwan, the minister of industry, and Kuwait's Public Authority for Industry (PAI) headed by Mr. Abdulkareem Naqi, provided all necessary facilitations to participating delegations to guarantee the success of the General Assembly. Engineer Sakr added that the meetings will include a presentation on the now internationally recognized Arab Accreditation Cooperation (ARAC) established by AIDMO in collaboration with UNIDO and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). In addition to that, the meeting will discuss cooperation between AIDMO and UNIDO through a series of programs like implementing the project of the Arab Food Safety Initiative, facilitating trade in collaboration with SIDA, and a number of other relevant topics in the areas of industry, mining and standardization. Engineer Sakr concluded that Kuwait deployed all efforts and offered all necessary assistance to participating delegations, which will contribute to the success of the General Assembly at the ministerial level. 

AIDMO, one of the organizations fostering Arab joint work, is based in Rabat, Morocco, and holds biennial meetings for Arab ministers of industry in different Arab countries.
