In his address on the achievements related to economic integration and development in the GCC countries, His Excellency Jasem Mohammed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, highlighted several major accomplishments. Among the most notable were the launch of the "Gulf Industrial Platform (GIP)" and the commencement of the "GCC Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution," both of which were executed and delivered by the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC).
This came during His Excellency’s speech before Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states, at the forty-sixth session of the GCC Supreme Council Summit, held on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, in Manama, Bahrain, under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This announcement follows the official launch of the Gulf Industrial Platform (GIP) in October during the Third Gulf Industrial Exhibition, held in Kuwait City. The launch is considered one of the most significant achievements reflecting the vision and aspirations of the GCC toward enhancing industrial and economic integration among member states.
The Gulf Industrial Platform (GIP), developed by GOIC, is one of the unified strategic industrial initiatives for the GCC. The platform aims to strengthen sustainable industrial development through the creation of a unified and reliable industrial database covering various sectors across the GCC.
GOIC is also implementing the GCC Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, assigned to the organization by the GCC Secretariat-General. The center is expected to be inaugurated in mid-2026. It will contribute to increasing productivity in Gulf factories, enhancing competitiveness, and equipping the workforce with essential skills and knowledge. The project includes establishing an interconnected network of Fourth Industrial Revolution centers across the GCC, with GOIC serving as the central hub that receives information and expertise from the various centers and redistributes them among member states. This network will facilitate the exchange of training expertise, best practices, and industrial data, thereby strengthening cooperation and integration.
GOIC Projects Supporting Industrial and Economic Development
GOIC has completed numerous major projects aligned with its programs and strategic objectives aimed at supporting the development efforts of GCC member states, as well as promoting comprehensive industrial development in Arab countries. The organization continues to enhance joint Arab cooperation and support national strategies related to Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, digital transformation, industrial development, innovation, and sustainability.
Recently, Arab Ministers of Industry approved the adoption of the final version of the Arab Industrial Integration Strategy, prepared by GOIC in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining (AIDSMO). The strategy aims to advance quality infrastructure systems, strengthen coordination, and promote collaborative partnerships among Arab nations.
This comes as a continuation of the GCC efforts to reinforce joint Arab action. The Arab Industrial Integration Strategy complements the Unified Gulf Industrial Strategy for the GCC, previously completed by GOIC, in addition to updates made by the organization to several national industrial strategies of GCC countries. Collectively, these initiatives will further enhance cooperation between GCC states and other Arab nations within the broader framework of Arab economic integration.
