In line with the ongoing cooperation and coordination efforts aimed at advancing industrial development among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, the Executive Committee of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) held its second regular meeting for 2025 on Wednesday, October 15, in Kuwait City, State of Kuwait.

The meeting was chaired by H.E.  Mr. Shamlan bin Hamoud Al Jahidli, Director General of the Public Authority for Industry in the State of Kuwait and Chairman of the current session of GOIC’s Executive Committee, with the attendance of Their Excellencies the Undersecretaries of Industry from the GCC Member States (members of GOIC’s Executive Committee), and H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Mohammed, Chief Executive Officer of GOIC.

The meeting discussed a number of key topics on the agenda, most notably an update to the Committee members on the implementation status of the Gulf Industrial Platform (GIP) — a major initiative focused on Gulf industrial projects — as well as a presentation on the Gulf Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution project.

During the meeting, members approved the minutes of the Committee’s first regular session for 2025, along with the proposed budget of GOIC for 2026. The Committee also reviewed the follow-up report on the implementation of decisions from the first 2025 meeting, as well as the financial status of member states’ contributions to GOIC’s approved 2025 budget. Additionally, the meeting examined the outcomes of the 54th Industrial Cooperation Committee session related to GOIC’s work, and discussed other new developments included in the agenda.

Furthermore, GOIC participated in the 47th Meeting of the Undersecretaries of Industry of the GCC States, which served as the preparatory meeting for the 55th Industrial Cooperation Committee. The meeting covered several agenda items, including proposals, reports, and initiatives that were reviewed and discussed, leading to recommendations for appropriate decisions.

Within this context, GOIC presented its launch plan for the Gulf Industrial Platform (GIP) — currently under development by the Organization — and also delivered a report on the preparation of the Arab Industrial Integration Strategy, in addition to a presentation highlighting GOIC’s recent achievements.
