The two sides held a joint meeting to explore prospects for cooperation between the organization and the statistical center in relation to enabling the organization and enhancing its role in preparing studies, reports, and projects related to the industrial sector in GCC countries.

The meeting was attended by several directors and employees from both the GCC Statistical Center and GOIC. The meeting is part of ongoing cooperation with institutions affiliated with the General Secretariat of the GCC, in recognition of GOIC's continuous support for these institutions. Many points were discussed to strengthen the efforts of both organizations, which would contribute to supporting the industrial sectors and private sector in the GCC.

During the meeting, GOIC’s role in supporting the industrial sector and economic development in GCC countries was introduced, emphasizing cooperation and industrial and economic integration among member states to enhance competitiveness regionally and globally. The meeting also highlighted the professional level of the team responsible for preparing studies and their commitment to quality standards to ensure high technical outputs.

Additionally, visual presentations were given to introduce GOIC's 2024-2028 strategy, which has been shaped by the strategy of the GCC General Secretariat and the industrial strategies of member states. Key ongoing programs implemented by GOIC were reviewed, including the Industrial Investment Opportunities Program, the Industrial Studies and Policies Program, the Fourth Industrial Revolution Program, the Training and Capacity Building Program, and the Industrial Markets Information Program.

The data feeding these databases, the classifications used in data processing, and the features and outputs of the portal were also reviewed, along with methods for extracting reports and dashboards.

The meeting further explored the objectives of the Gulf Common Industrial Platform project, which the organization plans to launch soon in collaboration with the GCC General Secretariat. This platform will include various data, including artificial intelligence technologies, through direct connection with GCC countries.
