The CEO of GOIC inaugurates the training course for Industrial and Commodity Classifications

Over the course of three days, and within the framework of implementing the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting’s action plan for 2021 and continuing its unremitting efforts in developing human capabilities working in the industrial sector, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Mohammed, CEO of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting, through telematics technology, opened a course Applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which was held from 5-7 April 2021.

The training course aims primarily to provide a description of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and discusses a set of industrial applications that will be affected by it, focusing on the strategic industrial sectors in the Arab Gulf region and the applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution related to government services that support the industry and systems for following up the transformation of industrial activities to the applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and monitoring indicators the shift.

The training course was attended by about 12 trainees from the Ministries of Industry in the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the General Secretariat.

 The course work program included several topics. On the first day, the concept of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and its historical development, the tools and techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the financial, industrial, academic and research sectors, dealing with industrial data, Internet of things, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies were discussed. and smart contracts.

The second day was devoted to reviewing the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the manufacturing industry, additive manufacturing (3D printing), supply chain applications, and quality applications. Industry applications and the impact on the basic industrial sectors in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

As for the third day, it focused on the strategies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the Gulf countries, the centers and initiatives of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on the workforce in the Arab Gulf states, the readiness of Gulf industries for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, incentives and initiatives to transform into the applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in addition to follow-up and control mechanisms.

The training course was presented by Dr. Basil Shadid, an industrial investment expert at the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting.
