Kuwait – Tuesday, October 28, 2025
As part of the activities of the
Third Gulf Industrial Exhibition, held in Kuwait City, the official launch of the
Gulf Industrial Platform (GIP) was announced — marking one of the key achievements that embodies the vision and aspirations of the
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) towards enhancing industrial and economic integration and cooperation among the GCC member states.
This milestone represents a major step in the
technical linkage of industrial data among GCC countries through a unified regional industrial data platform.
The
Gulf Industrial Platform (GIP) is one of the
strategic unified industrial initiatives of the GCC, implemented by the
Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) within the framework of strengthening industrial and economic integration among GCC states.
The platform aims to establish the foundations of
sustainable industrial development by building a
unified and reliable database covering various industrial sectors across the GCC. It provides investors and decision-makers with
accurate industrial information to support the development of the Gulf industrial sector through digital tools and advanced modern technologies. This contributes to improving the industrial investment environment and enhancing transparency and regional competitiveness.
On this occasion,
H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Mohammed, CEO of the
Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC), affirmed that the official launch of the GIP represents a
joint Gulf achievement that embodies the GCC’s vision of promoting industrial and economic integration among member states.
He stated:
“The platform represents a qualitative leap in supporting joint Gulf economic efforts. It provides a unified industrial and economic database that includes accurate information, statistics, reports, and AI-powered analyses, enabling investors, decision-makers, and researchers to access reliable data that supports informed decisions and enhances the value of industrial projects, studies, and policies.”
He added:
“The platform is the result of continuous work and collective effort by the organization’s team, supported by working groups from the member states and the GCC General Secretariat. It is the first of its kind to consolidate industrial and economic data and information of all GCC countries in one place.”
His Excellency expressed his
sincere gratitude and appreciation to the member states, institutions, and technical teams for their efforts in completing the platform project. He also extended thanks and appreciation to the
GCC General Secretariat, represented by the Secretary-General, his deputies, and the esteemed members of the Executive Office, for their continuous support, cooperation, and attention to the organization’s initiatives and work plans.
The
Gulf Industrial Platform (GIP) relies on
technical and electronic linkage with the industrial databases of ministries and industrial authorities in GCC member states, in accordance with the latest international governance and data management standards. This ensures the
secure and integrated flow of data, including industrial establishments, sector activities, products, and commodity classifications.
The GIP is distinguished by its advanced
AI-based analytical capabilities, which enable users to generate precise indicators that support optimal industrial decision-making. The platform can also produce
industrial and economic reports powered by artificial intelligence, delivering highly accurate and insightful outputs that contribute significantly to advancing industrial intelligence and integration in the Gulf region.
