The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) held an
introductory meeting on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at its
headquarters in Doha, to present the Gulf Industrial Platform (GIP).
The meeting was attended by representatives from the General
Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), ministries and
industrial authorities in GCC member states, as well as
representatives from the Federation of Gulf Chambers and industrial
and commercial chambers across the GCC.
The aim was to introduce the platform, its objectives, and its
technical and informational outputs, as one of GOIC’s key strategic
initiatives designed to enhance Gulf economic integration in the
industrial sector.
Presentation of the Platform and Its Outputs
The meeting began with a welcoming session in which H.E. Ahmed bin
Mohammed Al Mohammed, CEO of GOIC, welcomed the participants and
emphasized the importance of the platform in supporting joint Gulf
cooperation through the provision of unified industrial data serving
decision-makers, investors, and researchers.
A detailed presentation followed, introducing the platform’s main
components, including the Gulf factories database, industrial sector
activities, product classifications, and intelligent analytics
systems based on artificial intelligence technologies that provide
indicators to assist decision-makers.
Participants also reviewed the platform’s outputs, such as
AI-supported reports, a range of industrial and economic reports,
and demonstrations of the platform’s AI tools and their role in
producing high-quality outputs.
Electronic Integration and Data Quality
During the meeting, participants discussed mechanisms for electronic
integration between the platform and ministries and industrial
authorities in GCC member states, ensuring the secure and efficient
flow of data according to the latest governance standards and
international best practices in data management.
They also discussed data quality standards and the classification
systems used within the platform, and their role in unifying
concepts and facilitating information exchange among relevant
entities across the GCC.
Engagement and Productive Discussions
The meeting featured technical inputs and interactive discussions
between member state representatives and the GOIC platform team,
focusing on ways to enhance integration between national systems and
the Gulf platform software, and on how to leverage industrial data
to support informed decision-making.
The meeting concluded by stressing the importance of continued
coordination between GOIC and relevant authorities in GCC member
states to ensure the platform’s success as a trusted regional
reference for industrial information in the Gulf region.
