GOIC Holds Introductory Meeting on the Gulf Industrial Platform (GIP)

The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) held an introductory meeting on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at its headquarters in Doha, to present the Gulf Industrial Platform (GIP).

 
The meeting was attended by representatives from the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), ministries and industrial authorities in GCC member states, as well as representatives from the Federation of Gulf Chambers and industrial and commercial chambers across the GCC.

 
The aim was to introduce the platform, its objectives, and its technical and informational outputs, as one of GOIC’s key strategic initiatives designed to enhance Gulf economic integration in the industrial sector.

 
Presentation of the Platform and Its Outputs

 
The meeting began with a welcoming session in which H.E. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Mohammed, CEO of GOIC, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of the platform in supporting joint Gulf cooperation through the provision of unified industrial data serving decision-makers, investors, and researchers.

 
A detailed presentation followed, introducing the platform’s main components, including the Gulf factories database, industrial sector activities, product classifications, and intelligent analytics systems based on artificial intelligence technologies that provide indicators to assist decision-makers.

 
Participants also reviewed the platform’s outputs, such as AI-supported reports, a range of industrial and economic reports, and demonstrations of the platform’s AI tools and their role in producing high-quality outputs.

 
Electronic Integration and Data Quality

 
During the meeting, participants discussed mechanisms for electronic integration between the platform and ministries and industrial authorities in GCC member states, ensuring the secure and efficient flow of data according to the latest governance standards and international best practices in data management.

 
They also discussed data quality standards and the classification systems used within the platform, and their role in unifying concepts and facilitating information exchange among relevant entities across the GCC.

 
Engagement and Productive Discussions

 
The meeting featured technical inputs and interactive discussions between member state representatives and the GOIC platform team, focusing on ways to enhance integration between national systems and the Gulf platform software, and on how to leverage industrial data to support informed decision-making.

 
The meeting concluded by stressing the importance of continued coordination between GOIC and relevant authorities in GCC member states to ensure the platform’s success as a trusted regional reference for industrial information in the Gulf region.
