Industrial statistics in the Arab region in general and the GCC region suffering from not be given adequate attention and that despite their importance in supporting economic and investment decisions are widely used. Previous studies have shown that many of the countries in the region suffer from a lack of detailed databases reliable for industrial activities and relevant indicators because of the absence of appropriate methodologies for the collection, analysis and dissemination of such data in a timely manner. The lack of ability to provide updated statistics in those industrial countries adversely affect the capacity of decision makers in the public and private sectors in the fields of industry and investment.
In order to develop industrial statistics in the region, Goic is implementing workshops on industrial statistics and classifications in order to build national capacities in the countries of the region on the collection, processing and dissemination of industrial statistics.
The cost will be estimated depending on the location of the training course and the number of attendees.
