Al-Jazeera Media Training and Development Center honours GOIC

On the occasion of its 12th anniversary, Al-Jazeera Media Training and Development Center honoured the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) as one of its local partners during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Center in Doha, Qatar. The event was attended by a large number of Al-Jazeera Media Network administrators and members, trainees and partners of the Center locally and abroad.
GOIC Secretary General Mr. Abdulaziz Bin Hamad Al-Ageel expressed his deep appreciation to the Center for this honouring ceremony, hoping that the cooperation continues in the future to develop the capacities of GOIC staff and benefit from the Center’s expertise.
Mrs. Abir Adel Jaber, Media Unit and Technical Production Supervisor at GOIC received the award from Dr. Mostefa Souag, Acting Director General of Al-Jazeera Media Network and Mr. Muneer Al-Daemi, Director of Al-Jazeera Media Training and Development Center.
Furthermore, Dr. Souag delivered a speech in which he stressed that throughout 12 years, the Center provided training for 28000 trainees, including eight thousand Qatari nationals “which reflects the Center’s key role in contributing to the development of media performance in the State of Qatar and guarantees that Qataris will develop Qatari media.”
Mr. Al-Daemi then explained that the Center that offered 2633 training courses was constantly seeking to establish several regional and international partnerships. “We have a product to offer, especially that our 20 year-old expertise could be transferred and developed”, said Mr. Al-Daemi. He also announced that the Center was endeavouring to launch Al-Jazeera Training Livestream Channel via YouTube soon, in addition to offering media consulting services to major institutions and distance training that is underway.
Mr. Al-Daemi talked about local strategic partnerships with key institutions like GOIC, ASPIRE, Qatari Diar, Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), Qatar National Bank (QNB), the Joaan Bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College, Qatar Charity, the Foundation Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah for Humanitarian Services (RAF) and other local institutions. He also highlighted valuable regional partnerships with a number of countries such as Oman, Jordan, Algeria, Morocco, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia aiming at making media training accessible to all trainees.
