Fostering & Developing Capacities in the Industrial Sector
What is it?
The Training and Capacity Development Program is a training program developed by GOIC to enhance the individual and organizational capacities of the industrial sector in GCC countries and Yemen.
GOIC has established partnerships with some of the world’s top specialized universities, training centers and vocational education centers to offer specific courses for industrialists, investors, entrepreneurs, government officials, individuals and key decision makers. The goal is to equip them with the knowledge and tools they need to increase efficiency, profitability and sustainability.
TCD courses are delivered through various impactful means such as case studies, interactive discussions and team project assessments. The program has conducted over 100 seminars and workshops on various regional industrial topics since it was first initiated.
Who is it for?
TCD programs are geared to provide relevant vocational training to public and private institutions in GCC countries. It arranges specialized training courses, seminars and workshops for government agencies, investors, manufacturers, consultants and businessmen.
Partnerships
To conduct the TCD program, GOIC has sought the assistance of some of the world’s best centers and knowledge-hubs including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), Carnegie Mellon University, Duke University, King Saud University and Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz University in KSA, the Arab Planning Institute in Kuwait and Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET).
