The Training and Capacity
Development Program (TCD) is a partnership
between GOIC and highly ranked, reputed,
international and specialized schools, educational
and technical training centers and knowledge
hubs. This is a training program developed
by GOIC to enhance the individual and organizational
capacities of the industrial sector in the
GCC.
This highly technical and inventive Program
aims to enhance the knowledge and techniques
for industrialists, investors, entrepreneurs
and key decision makers on project development,
as well as its sustainability and competitiveness
in the region.
TCD activities are delivered
through a wide range of innovative techniques
including case studies, interactive discussions
and team project assessments.
Since its introduction, the Program has
promoted and conducted more than 90 training
and capacity development seminars and workshops
on various topics that directly relates to
the industrial sector in the GCC. Topics
include, among other: Entrepreneurship Development,
Project appraisal and Risk Management, Financial
Analysis and Management for Small Businesses,
Plastic Processing Technologies, and so forth.
The TCD Program focuses on industrial and economic sectors in the GCC, providing
specialized training courses, seminars and workshops for government agencies,
investors, industrialists as well as experts and individuals. It also conducts
programs tailored to the requirements of the industrial, public and private,
sectors in the GCC.

GOIC has sought the assistance of international and well reputed universities,
knowledge hubs and training centers. Partnership and collaboration arrangements
have been entered with Carnegie Mellon University and Duke University from
the US, as well as the international organization UNIDO. These partnerships,
allow the Program to gain access to steadfast and ground-breaking skills
and techniques, that will be disseminated throughout the GCC.
