Saudi Ambassador: GOIC Provides Significant Support to
Industrial Development in the Region

Abdul-Aziz bin Hamad Al Ageel, Secretary General of the Gulf
Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC), received at
his Office on Wednesday, February 2nd, HE Ahmed bin Ali Al-Qahtani,
Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the State of Qatar. Mr. Al-Ageel
welcomed the Saudi Ambassador and thanked him for his
personal interest in GOIC and dedication of his time and
effort to visit GOIC and observe its abilities which aim at
the promotion of industrial and economic development of the
region.
The Saudi Ambassador in return expressed his gratitude and
appraisal of GOIC's role in supporting the industry in the
region and providing it with studies, data and information,
insights and opportunities. He expressed his confidence in
the continuation of such achievements and services in the
future, which commensurate with its objectives and
aspirations, under the keen leadership of the secretary
general and the sincere efforts of its experts. . He wished
GOIC further success and prosperity.
Heads of departments at GOIC explained to HE the ambassador
the most important projects of 2011, which include: the
first coordination meeting of pharmaceutical manufacturers
in 11th April, the study on the industrial incentives in
Saudi Arabia, the industrial map of the region which
concentrates on both current and future status of the
industry in the Gulf States and Yemen, the unified
industrial strategy, in addition to GOIC's continuing
efforts to provide services, opportunities, studies,
research and coordination activities among Member States.
It is worth mentioning that GOIC is a pioneering research
and consulting organization, based in Doha, State of Qatar,
with the aim of fostering industrial cooperation and
industrialization efforts in the GCC region and Yemen. It
provides integrated sets of high quality research,
information, and consulting services for industry and
industrialists for both public and private
sectors in the region.
