Matchmaking

In order to optimize networking and exchanges during GEISP, business to business meetings will be arranged by market specialists between suppliers, technology providers, buyers and investors to cover the following topics:

Industrial supplies such as industrial services, manufacturing activities, etc
Downstream opportunities
Relocations for international suppliers
New technologies and partnerships

These are not the usual on-line matchmaking encountered in traditional industrial exhibitions, but an in-depth personalized search of the best potential matches.

GOIC is the industrial matchmaking specialist in the Middle East. It has established a supply and subcontracting network covering more than 40 countries to service the needs of sponsors.

Since its inception, the organization’s advisory role was fundamental in the industrial development of the region. The organization played an influential part in identifying and introducing new industries to the region as well as determining synergies for the existing ones. GOIC has grown to be the unrivalled source of market intelligence and knowledge of the industrial environment within the GCC, and the advisory institution by excellence for GCC governments, chambers of industry, private investors and financiers across the GCC region.

During the GCC-EU industrial conference in August 2008, GOIC organized in two days 230 matchmaking meetings between European and Gulf companies, that resulted in several business deals signed later on in 2008.

This is what Qatar Steel thought about the Forum:

The GC EU Forum in Barcelona was for us a most successful event. It has allowed us to broaden our suppliers’ base”. Ahmad El Khanji
